Louis K. Meisel

Yigal Ozeri
The term photorealism was coined in reference to those artists whose work depended heavily on photographs, painted on canvas and replicated with precision and accuracy. But, photorealism also complicates the notion of realism by successfully mixing together that which is real with that which is unreal.
This insightful panel brings together leading figures in this genre. Louis K. Meisel, the legendary gallerist/collector/ author has created, defned, redefined and actually coined the term of this genre, over the past 40+ years.
Panelists include:
Israeli born, NYC based Yigal Ozeri, known for his cinematic portraits of young women in landscapes, is one of the most sought-after painters in this genre. His work is on display at Corridor Contemporary, booth 118.
Brian Booth Craig, from Pittsburgh and Penn State University, is a contemporary sculptor specializing in bronze. Sculpting from life, his work translates classically derived figures into contemporary icons. His work is shown at the Louis K. Meisel Gallery, booth 110.
Moderated by art expert/advisor and Art Collector’s Athenaeum founder Hilary Hatfield.
