In 2014, working with cutting-edge PA-based software development company BrickSimple LLC, David Datuna became the first artist to integrate wearable technology into an artwork with his breakthrough piece, Portrait of America, which utilized Google Glass and GPS locators to create uniquely engaging and interactive viewer experience. Datuna and Det Ansinn will discuss their latest collaborative work on the forefront of this exciting next frontier in art – where disruptive technologies and disruptive art fuse to create innovative and immersive new genres.
DET ANSINN is a serial entrepreneur and owner of BrickSimple LLC, a software development studio based in Doylestown, PA with offices in Philadelphia, Cambridge, and San Francisco. As President of BrickSimple, Det has established a reputation as innovator, pushing adoption of new technologies in the arts, entertainment, healthcare, and industry. Det made some of the first apps on the iOS and Android platforms, plus created award-winning innovative apps for wearable devices like Google Glass and HoloLens. For the past six years, Det has been focused on Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR) experiences that incorporate Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning. Det is a graduate of Drexel University and currently chairs the Dean’s Advisory Council for the College of Computing & Informatics.
